The Sherman School Pre-school now has 20 children. There is an a.m. session with 9 three year olds and a p.m. session with 11 four year olds. Each session is 2 1/2 hours long. The day consists of arrival activities, structured free play, motor/outside activities, circletime, center activities, snack and book/story time. The children attend the preschool, Tuesday through Friday. Their projects are about seasons, holidays, nursery rhymes, and books/stories. There are two para-professionals involved in the program, as well as the Speech and Language, Occupational and Physical Therapists.

Activities
The children haven't had any field trips yet, but they are hoping that they can go to a farm next year. They go to the library once a week. Sometimes, they go to special school events such as chorus and band activities with the rest of the school. The class likes to participate in stories, nursery rhymes, counting, singing, finger plays, acting out stories, and learning to play, share, and get along with each other.
Their day consists of: playing, eating snack, circle time, gross motor time, activities such as cutting, pasting, painting, going outside, and story time.
