Ms. Boylan's PictureMs. Mary Boylan has served as Sherman’s part-time director of curriculum and instruction since 2014. She brings over 37 years of teaching and administrative experience having served as: a special education teacher for her first 12 years, a middle school algebra and pre-algebra teacher, a computer teacher, a director of technology, an assistant principal, and a principal. Ms. Boylan has been involved in a variety of curriculum development committees and on numerous district committees throughout her career. In 1993, she was recognized by her peers as the Sherman School Teacher of the Year. Ms. Boylan earned her undergraduate degree with a major in psychology, and later received her certification in elementary education grades PK-8 , and a M.S. in Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University. In addition, Ms. Boylan holds certifications in special education grades PK-12 and administration grades PK-12, and a M.A. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
