Photo   My name is Kaitlyn Wall and I am excited to be embarking on my first year as the School Counselor here at the Sherman School.

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Central Connecticut State University in 2011 and continued my education at CCSU to complete both my Master's Degree in School Counseling and my Sixth-Year credentials in Counseling in 2014. In 2015, I earned status as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and in 2016, I become a formal Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the State of Connecticut. Since establishing my licensure, I have participated in a number of continuing education and professional development opportunities related to student services and school-based counseling, and am an ongoing member of the Connecticut School Counselors Association.

Prior to Sherman, I have served as a School Counselor in Waterbury, Connecticut. Over the past four years, I have become extremely dedicated and passionate about my career. As a counselor, my primary responsibility is to support my students with their academic, career, social, emotional and personal development. However, my responsibilities also include educating and supporting the parents of my students and facilitating working relationships with parents, students,  faculty and staff in the building, as well.

I welcome further questions or contact at any time and greatly look forward to my time at the Sherman School.
