Library Policies

For Kindergarten through 5th grade, library books are due back on the class's book selection day.
Borrowing Limitations:
Kindergarten and 1st Grade: May check out one book at a time
2nd grade: May check out two books, can be kept for one 6-day cycle
3rd grade: May check out three books, can be kept for one 6-day cycle
4th grade through 8th grade: May check out four books, can be kept for one 6-day cycle

All Students may also check out magazines.

Books may be renewed indefinitely unless they are on hold for another students. Students will need to bring the book to the library to be renewed.

We do not charge overdue fees, but we do encourage students to be responsible for the materials they have checked out by returning them promptly for others to enjoy. Kindergarten through 5th grade students will receive written reminders of overdue materials. Students will be given a verbal reminder at one week overdue, and written reminders automatically once a month for any overdue book.

If a book is lost or irreparably damaged, it will need to be paid for. Because we prefer to purchase library-bound materials whenever possible, we prefer payment rather than replacement with a copy purchased by the child's family.

If a book your child has checked out is lost or damaged, please contact us via email or a note through your child and we will let you know what to do next!
