What should my child wear to physical education class?

In Kindergarten through grade 5, students must wear sneakers during class and should wear comfortable clothes. It is recommended that students wear shoes that tie as they stay on the best and also offer the most support in preventing injuries. Heelys, with or without the wheels, are not permitted as they have an elevated heal and may promote an increased injury upon turning an ankle.

In Grades 6 through 8, students must bring a change of clothes and sneakers. They will utilize the locker rooms before and after class and will return to their school clothes for the remainder of the day. Their PE clothes should be comfortable, not restrictive, and not revealing.
