Presidents Award

The President’s Award for Academic Excellence is designed to recognize a student's academic success in the classroom.  This prestigious award requires specific selection criteria, including at minimum:

Grade Point Average
Students are to earn at least an "A" (93% or above) yearly average in each academic class for all of seventh grade and the first two trimesters of their eighth grade year.  If applicable, students must also maintain at least an 85% average in each of the first two trimesters of eighth grade Algebra.

CT State Mandated Assessment
Students are to achieve a level 4 on one portion (either the ELA or Math) and at least a 3 on the other part of the Smarter Balanced Assessment in their seventh grade year.
