Chorus

One's voice is the most fundamental of all instruments. At Sherman School, we endeavor to develop each child's ability to use this instrument while inspiring a passion for singing through our choral program.

Students have the opportunity to sing and perform at every grade level. Beginning in preschool, students participate in performances in which they sing. In K, 1st and 2nd Grade students participate in the Quaver Musicals which are performed at the end of the school year.

Students in 3rd through 5th grade participate in school concerts as well as other opportunities to rehearse and perform.

In Middle School Choir students learn a wide variety of genres from folk songs and simple rounds to four-part harmony and student arrangements. Students have the opportunity to audition for Regionals each year, perform at various concerts and events and perform at the end of year competition/festival.
