I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens, NY. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music (CUNY-Queens), I went on to earn a degree in Audio Engineering and Recording from the Institute of Audio Research. After spending a few years as a freelance music teacher and audio engineer, I found myself teaching at the Concordia Conservatory of Music in Bronxville, N.Y. This led to Kindermusic certification at both levels as well as experience working with young children in a musical setting. I have been teaching at The Sherman School since November 2004. I completed my Master of Science in Music Education at W.C.S.U. in June of 2014 and earned an 092 Certification from Sacred Heart University in June of 2023.
