Dr. Patricia Cosentino

Prior to joining The Sherman School in July 2022, Dr. Cosentino was employed in Regional School District 12 for six years. She is so proud that at that time they were able to approve the Agriscience Program, one that is currently flourishing in Litchfield County. Beginning in July of 2001, she began her service in the Bethel School System. She began her Bethel career as the Principal of Frank A. Berry School. In 2006 Dr. Cosentino assumed the principalship of Bethel High School. During her 11 years in Bethel, she oversaw two school renovation projects, led the high school in a NEASC self-study and site visit which allowed BHS to receive accreditation. Before her time in CT, she worked in Public School 206Q in Rego Park, New York as a teacher, an Assistant Principal and five years as the Principal. Dr. Cosentino also worked for one year in Columbus School in Bridgeport, CT. Her varied experiences have allowed her to meet wonderful children and families and embrace the school communities.
Dr. Cosentino received her Doctorate in Instructional Education from Western Connecticut State University in 2008 and continues to be involved in their educational program as she mentors administrative candidates. She is currently the President of WCSU’s Phi Delta Kappa and stays involved with the University on many levels. Dr. Pat is on the NESDEC Board of Directors and is the Chairperson of the Women’s Leadership Group for CAPSS.
Dr. Cosentino currently resides in Bethel with her son, Vincent. Dr. C. loves spending quality time with her family; three sisters, two brothers-in-law, seven nephews, one niece, a great-niece and a great nephew!
Dr. Cosentino loves going to NYC to visit friends and see shows on Broadway. She is a big music fan, her favorite being Bruce Springsteen. Dr. Cosentino enjoys the outdoors, both the country and the beach, appreciating the beauty and serenity of nature.
