What should my child wear to physical education class?

In Kindergarten through grade 5, students must wear sneakers during class and should wear comfortable clothes. It is recommended that students wear shoes that tie as they stay on the best and also offer the most support in preventing injuries.  

In Grades 6 through 8, students are requested to come to school in comfortable clothes and sneakers. They will the option to utilize the locker rooms after class to change their attire for the remainder of the day. Their PE clothes should be comfortable, not restrictive, and not revealing.

Students who do not have sneakers or are unable to participate in PE for any other reason will be expected to pay attention during instructional time. Students may bring something to read. When permissible students may be asked to walk the outer perimeter of the gym or use exercise equipment. Also, students may be asked to fill out a PE reminder form to be brought home.
