I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens, NY. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music (CUNY-Queens), I went on to earn a degree in Audio Engineering and Recording from the Institute of Audio Research. After spending a few years as a freelance music teacher and audio engineer, I found myself teaching at the Concordia Conservatory of Music in Bronxville, N.Y. This led to Kindermusic certification at both levels as well as experience working with young children in a musical setting. I have been teaching at the Sherman School since November 2004. I completed my Master of Science in Music Education at W.C.S.U. in June of 2014, earned an 092 Certification in June of 2023 and recently have completed a 6th Year in Social Emotional and Academic Learning from Sacred Heart University. It is a pleasure to be a teacher here at the Sherman School.
